Supported Housing (SSH)

Extra-Care and Supported Living developments fully meet the criteria to be classified as SSH, subject to the intended tenant group, which means that they are exempt from the RSH Rent Standards restrictions.
The Government recognise the importance of SSH as the capital is privately funded by investors in a preventative service which, in turn, reduces the pressure on already stretched statutory services, social care and health budgets.
